Refund and Returns Policy

HiFi Audio Parts is a part of HiFi Vintage Ltd, a UK-based company specialising in vintage audio equipment and spare parts.

As a company, we aim to ensure our customers are satisfied with every purchase. Please read our refund and returns policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Condition of Items

All items sold on hifiaudioparts.uk are second-hand or used, unless otherwise stated. Each part is tested where possible and described accurately. Cosmetic and functional conditions will be clearly noted in the product description.

2. Returns Eligibility

You may return an item if:

  • It arrives damaged in transit

  • It does not match the description on our website

  • It is faulty or non-functional (and this was not stated in the listing)

Returns are not accepted if:

  • You change your mind (unless within the cooling-off period)

  • The item is sold “as-is”, “for parts”, or “not working” and this was made clear in the listing

3. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period  (UK & EU Customers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers in the UK and EU have the right to cancel an online purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the item, for any reason.

To be eligible for a refund under this regulation:

  • The item must be returned in the same condition it was received

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs

  • The refund will include the original item cost and standard delivery charge (if applicable)

4. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at support@hifiaudioparts.uk within 14 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos if the item is damaged or not as described

We will provide return instructions and an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) if the return is approved.

5. Refunds

Refunds are issued once the item has been received and inspected.

  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method

  • This can take up to 1-2 working days from the date when we receive the item

  • We reserve the right to deduct any loss in item value due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods

6. Return Shipping

  • Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for the cost of returning items

  • We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot be responsible for return parcels lost in transit

7. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges due to the unique nature of second-hand parts. If you need a replacement, you may place a new order after the return has been processed.
